Brendan Clay's interest of dance music began at the tender age of 14. He immediately found himself unsatisfied as simply a consumer of the music he loved, and explored for something new and more involved.
For 10 years now, Brendan has been heavily involved with Internet radio, hosting successful programs, 'Friday Night Live' and 'The M Shift', on Indiesoundz and NSB Radio networks, respectively. The M Shift, now well into in its sixth year, specialises in breaks, house and drum 'n' bass, and is enjoyed regularly by thousands of live listeners, downloaders, and Podcasters alike.
Since entering the club scene in 2003 and making his debut at 'Thursday Delights' at the Icebox, Brendan has played right across Sydney, including appearances at Sounds on Sunday, Chinese Laundry, Plastic, The Burdekin, Candy's Apartment and Moulin Rouge, as well as larger-scale events such as Big Day Out and Harbour Party NYE, and his own fortnightly event, 'SPOiLT'.
Brendan's musical taste is certainly diverse! Since "retiring" from trance and hard dance, he now craves the sounds of deep, moody, progressive house, driving tech-house and techno, fun-filled breakbeat and more recently, drum 'n' bass.
Brendan prides himself on musical diversity, cleanliness in the mix and bringing innovative elements into his mixing, and production.
